Solar - Ground Source - Air To Air - Air To Water

Carbon dioxide (CO2) contributes around 60% of the potential global warming effect of human-made emissions of greenhouse gases worldwide. The burning of fossil fuels – oil, gas coal etc. – releases CO2 and increases its concentration in the atmosphere.

With natural fossil fuels becoming more scarce, Piper Heating are committed to working with new technologies and alternative renewable energies – energy flows which occur naturally and repeatedly in the environment - to help to reduce our carbon foot print, reduce emissions and lower fuel bills by utilising the exciting range of green heating solutions becoming available.

We are able to offer a full advice design and installation package to meet individual central heating and hot water requirements

SOLAR
Solar thermal/solar hot water is a system for using solar radiation(sunlight) to heat water, even on cloudy days, typically by roof mounted panels connected with pipes to a storage tank.

HEAT PUMP OVERVIEW Technical Details Worcester website
Heat recovery is a technique for maximising efficiency by making use of heat that would otherwise be wasted. Energy is extracted from elsewhere, such as the outside air or from underground and used to heat a home and hot water supply. Heat Pumps work like a refrigerator moving heat from one place to another and can provide space heating, cooling and water heating.

Ground Source Heat Pumps
Technical Details Worcester website Extract heat from the ground by circulating water or another fluid through pipes buried in the ground in trenches or in vertical boreholes. The pipes extract heat from the ground and a heat exchanger within the pump, extracts the heat from this fluid. The temperature of the fluid is then raised to supply heat and hot water to the building.

Air to Water Heat Pumps
Technical Details Worcester website
An external fan draws air from outside building into unit before converting the heat within the air into water, a useable heat for the home. Perfect for use with underfloor heating and radiators.

Air to Air Heat Pumps
Technical Details Worcester website If you are looking for minimum fuss then an air to air heat pump will produce warm air which is circulated for space heating. Energy from outside air is converted into heat and then warm air is circulated internally to a comfortable temperature. This system will also operate as an air cooler and purifier and is perfect for when external and internal space is limited such as open plan living accommodation or conservatories.
